WHO?

I Jessica (aka Betty) started this site. I live in England. I love designing. I graduated in June 2006 with a 1st class degree in Graphic Design. In early 2007 I did a 6month internship MTV Networks Europe, working within the Online Team. People are surprised when they learn that I run fansites, I really am not your typical internet geek. I love hanging out with my friends, swimming, drawing and going to the movies. I am now an employee at THE FAN CARPET where this site is hosted.

I don't stalk Julia, I am just a fan like any of you! I just use to have a lot of free time during the holidays, and a huge passion for web design. That's why I get carried away with all these new designs and stuff...... I also love the fact that I have so many people appreciate my work, it really gives me a buzz when I read just one email saying they love the site! Thank you so much everyone!

WHY JULIA?

I first saw Julia. like most of you, in 10 Things I hate about you, where she played Kat Stratford. It was such a great role for Julia, I loved her character, and my friends and I probably watched that move over 25 times! In a way I feel like I have grown up alongside Julia's movies, especially her earlier comedies. She is also so inspiring and passionate about film and not the fame game that comes along with it.

SITE HISTORY

I already run a website for actress Kirsten Dunst [kirsten-dunst.org], and when I first opened the site in 1998, I also opened a Julia one. After about a year my parents only let me buy one domain.. so slowly im afraid the Julia site died. I gave it to someone else at one point, but that didn't work out either. Some of you might remember it as 'Julia Web' : www.julia-web-page.net

I had kept a lot of the content and one day I thought to myself, that Julia really doesn't have a good well kept fansite, Acting Naturally has been around a long time but it has had many webmasters, all of which eventually lost interest. So I approached Samantha, the current webmaster and she agreed that I could take over. After working on most of the gallery I found out I couldn't access Acting Naturally's files, I emailed Gertie (host) and I was having a hard time getting a response, so I started the site at THE FAN CARPET, then Gertie said I wasn't allowed to move the site... so .... I had no choice but to launch a brand new Julia site. A shame because I could have done with the publicity and its always sad to see an idle fansite so frequently visited. Anyway now, I wait, update and hope to grow.
